Mother Earth Sound System is an electronic music event collective, composed of DJs, producers, visual artists, designers, dancers. Founded in 1993 in the San Francisco bay area rave scene, we have since spread to Oregon, Los Angeles, and are now primarily based in Denver, Colorado. Since 1997, we have been doing free outdoor Full Moon Gatherings in the Rocky Mountains, as well as intimate indoor events that focus on eclectic, deep, quality dance music. Our musical guests have included Surgeon, Joel Mull, Dan Bell, John Tejada, Alexi Delano, Derek Plaslaiko, Matthew Dear, Ryan Elliott, the Kooky Scientist, Greg Schiff, Stewart Walker, Maetrik, Jeff Milligan, Sutekh, Jay Haze, Kit Clayton, Richard Devine, Dj Spooky, J-Boogie, Equulei, and many others. Directions:
Take I-70 W toward Grand Jct.
Take exit #157 (Wolcott)
Go RIGHT at the top of the exit ramp
Turn LEFT at CO-131 N/US-6 W and go about 0.4 mi.
Take the 1st RIGHT onto CO-131 N and go 13.6 mi.
Turn RIGHT at County Rd 1/Trough Rd (look for the Statebridge sign)
Drive about 4.2 mi, Rancho del Rio will be on the left, just look for the sign

Location and lodging:
The location is Rancho del Rio (http://www.ranchodelrio.com). This is beautiful private land directly on the Colorado River, only 2 hours drive from Denver. They offer cabins and plenty of pay campsites (http://www.ranchodelrio.com/ranchorates.htm), so bring your tent and camp out. Camping is free on Sat night; if you go up tonight (Fri), it is $3/per person.

There is guided rafting, kayaking, fishing, a general store, liquor store, and KK's World Famous BBQ (http://www.ranchodelrio.com/ranchoservices.htm). Visit their website or call 970-653-4431 for all the details.

If all the cabins at Rancho are all booked, note that Statebridge Lodge (http://www.statebridge.com) also has cabins and yurts for rent, and is only a few miles down the road.

Because this is private land and we must pay our expenses, we are asking for a $10 donation upon entry. Your generous support helps these events continue. Thank you!

Leave No Trace
Just because it is private land does not mean we can leave all our trash there; WE are responsible for packing ALL of our trash out, so therefore it is YOUR responsibility to pack out whatever you brought; this includes cigarette butts, bottles, flyers, anything. Please respect this so we can use this great location in the future.

Glass/bottles
Since we do have to pack out all of our trash, please try to avoid bringing glass/bottles; if you must, then please pour into a cup/nalgene/etc and leave the bottles in your car - do not discard in any provided garbage cans.

Fires
Please only build fires in existing fire pits, and do not scavenge wood from the land. We will have wood for a central bonfire, but otherwise campers are responsible for bringing their own wood, or buying it from the general store at Rancho.
